You Glow Girl! Khloe Kardashian & Malika Haqq Becca Cosmetic Collab Review

Khloe Kardashian and her bestie Malika Haqq have partnered with Becca Cosmetics and created a lovely collection of bronzers and lipsticks that will leave you feeling as beautiful and “glowy” (is that even a word?) as possible! If you’re a person that has seen even one episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s” then you know how obsessed they are with make-up and skincare! That said, if anyone is the authority on creating a great make-up line, it’s these girls! We are so excited to try these products and share our honest thoughts, so let’s not waste any time and get right into it!

The collection includes:

BFF Palette: Available in 2 color options. One for Khloe (Glow Up, Fierce, Fabulosity, and KoKo Bronze) and one for Malika (Dusted, Yes Girl!, Make Me Blush, and Bestie Bronze)

Glow Letters: Mini baked heart’s, X’s and O’s highlighter

Lipstick: Available in 4 color options. One red, and one nude for both Khloe (Hot Tamale and Cupid’s Kiss) and Malika (Brave and Yours Truly).

Glow Letters

Let me start by saying we were so unbelievably excited about this product if for no other reason they were heart shaped!! However, upon opening the pretty silver packaging our little hearts (pun intended) were immediately deflated. The packaging for this highlighter is not as high quality as we would expect it to be, and a lot of the X’s and O’s were already broken before even using. More specifically it is made out CARDBOARD!! Yes, cardboard. That said, as far as it being long lasting, and practical for travel, in our opinion it is not. Aside from the packaging, the product itself is very pretty and looks amazing on our skin tone (which is a deep medium). We tried it alone as just an allover highlighter to give a nice “glowy” look, as well as tried it as a true highlighter on top of our blush. Both ways did not disappoint. We also like that it has multiple uses and can be used as eyeshadow as well.  We’re always happy anytime we can get more for our money.

The BFF Palette:

Okay so this is going to be me just being super truthful! I love Khloe and Malika so I wanted this palette to be amazing for more reasons than one! The blush and highlighter are EVERYTHING! The blush gives a beautiful rosy/peach tone to our skin and was very pigmented so you don’t have to use much to achieve your look. The texture is silky and goes on the skin so smooth and feels weightless! I mean I’m here for it!! The highlight is the PERFECT golden bronze color! One thing I love is that its very sheer so it gives a great “glowy” look without an intense look that, let’s be honest, a lot of highlighters tend to give if you don’t apply just right. It’s beautiful and not too bold which personally we love. But, all good things must come to an end… and the end is the BRONZER…. It is entirely too light for a brown skinned woman… I mean we are super disappointed because Malika is our color almost exactly! Like whats the point of making two different palettes for different skin tones if both can not use it? It seems like celebrities are just putting their faces on products and that does not help the consumer at all! After many applications and adding another bronzer on top to blend better with our skin tone it was okay… But just okay. The formula is great but the shade not so much. If the palette was sold individual it would not be purchased, but since its included it just won’t be used.

Lipsticks:

Okay so this was interesting because Chanda is a gloss kinda girl and I am totally into matte lips. The two nude lipsticks we got were actually both nice. They were not matte which is the only thing I wear so when I initially put it on I was indifferent about it. But, with my favorite lipliner (MAC - Chestnut) I was really into it! The formula is great, it goes on smooth, leaves your lips hydrated, and both are very pigmented. I was actually surprised that Khloe’s lipstick was not to light of a nude for me. Both lipsticks looked great on our skin tone so I guess they made a comeback from that awful bronzer! I would recommend both lips for woman of all skin tones!
