Mascara Chronicles - Part 1: KKW Glam Bible - Mascara Review

OK, ladies…. I have a SERIOUS question. Am I the only one that is constantly trying to achieve the below looks with my eyelashes???!?!?!?

I am truly hoping I’m not!! But seriously, I mean look at those eyelashes. They are like little individual pieces of art! Right? Too Dramatic?? OK, maybe a little, but let’s move on!

As far as makeup goes (generally speaking), I would definitely say that I’m in the “less is more” camp… except where it pertains to my eyelashes. I think your eyes (specifically eyelashes) are the ONE thing on your face that can stand alone. You could literally put nothing on your face, but if those eyelashes are popping…MAN! It just takes your look up at least 3 more levels.

That being said, over the years I have tried several different mascara’s from the less expensive drug store brands to the more premium department store brands. Here is how it plays out each and every time. I see someone’s eyelashes, and I think to myself, “DAMN those are amazing”… I then ask the first qualifying question, “Are your eyelashes real?” If they say no… abort mission, but if they say yes… now I start my process of digging for more information. What brand? Where did you get it? Do you love it? Is it expensive? And so on and so on. Of course I then buy said mascara, most of the time without trying it on first… get it home.. and pull it out of the packaging. I carefully apply the mascara, and then…. whomp whomp. I am underwhelmed, and here I am again back on the hunt for an affordable mascara that will make my eyelashes look Fake AF.

A few Sunday’s ago, after watching another riveting episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (kekeke), I found myself wondering what all the hoopla was about with the Kardashian makeup empire. So of course I did what any normal woman would do… I went online and purchased KKW Glam Bible Mascara! Right now you can only purchase her makeup online, so after making the purchase, I had to practice my least favorite thing..patience and wait about 5 days for the mascara to arrive. After daily tracking the progress of the package, it finally arrived!! I immediately opened it (very nice presentation, by the way), and promptly applied it to my eyelashes.

What happened next was nothing short of a DREAM COME TRUE!! This mascara was AMAZING! I literally could not believe my eyes (or should I say eyelashes!), and I promise you, I am not exaggerating. My eyelashes looked exactly the way I wanted them to.. long, full, and fake!!!

Let me just run down the highlights of this mascara:

The Formula - Smooth yet has a thick consistency for those 3D lashes that you love. The formula is amazing and gives you the false lash look with out the clumping or flaking! I mean you can build on this mascara on a scale of normal to Fake AF

The Brush - This comes with a traditional bristle brush. It’s fuller, so it gives you more volume but does not leave your eyes heavy like most false lashes will! The bristles are soft so they will not not irritate your eyes idk if thats a thing for you ladies but it is for ME!

The Flake Factor- Don’t you just hate when you apply mascara and its too thick and clumpy? Or better yet when it dries and flakes off? HELLO those are my biggest pet peeves!!! Well no problems with this one!

The Take Off - This mascara is not only long lasting but super easy to take off! My skin care regimen is super important so having a mascara that last for the day but is easy to remove is VITAL..

So on a scale of STRUGGLE to FLAWLESS we definitely would rate this FLAWLESS!
