EMPTIES! EMPTIES! EMPTIES! Beauty Product Reviews!

IMG_0156.jpg

OK, so I’m sure by now you all know how much I love to do product reviews on various products I’ve tried. So gear, up, because you’re about to read another one!! However, what makes this one a little different is all of the products I am reviewing have been used to the point of completion, so this makes this review what’s commonly referred to as an “empties” review!! I don’t know about you, but I feel like when someone has used a product all the way to the last drop, this has given them enough time to truly determine if they really love or hate the product! So let’s just get right into it!

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Body Lotion

OK, hands down. I love this lotion. I have very dry skin and am always looking for a body cream or lotion that will provide the moisture I need. Now that I’ve moved literally to the desert, my skin is even more dry!! This lotion is like heaven in a bottle!!! It is thick, creamy, and don’t even get me started on the scent. AMAZING!!! I love the way the lotion just soaks right into your skin so it’s not like it’s just sitting on top of your skin! I will continue to use this lotion through all of the upcoming seasons, and I expect to continue to love it! The only thing I will say is it is a little hard to get the lotion out of the bottle due to packaging. But again, because the lotion is so amazing, I pretty much just deal with it!

LaneigeWater Sleeping Mask/Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

OK, so I am reviewing these products as a duo, because I find that I use the two together commonly. I use the lip mask literally every single night, and I use the face mask 1 to 2 times a week. Keeping with the theme of me on the hunt for basically any product that will bring moisture back to my skin, this does not disappoint. The lip mask is THIIIIICK!! I mean, when I put this on, I feel like I can actually FEEL it working! When I wake up in the morning, my lips are as smooth as a baby’s bottom! Same goes for the sleeping mask. Generally I will only use this once a week, but when I tell you your face will look like it is glowing the morning after, I am not exaggerating! What I love about the face mask is ironically the exact opposite of what I love about the lip mask. The formula is not thick and gooey, but rather silky and thin. This is important to me since it is something you are putting on your face and sleeping in overnight, so the last thing I want is something thick that’s going to rub off on my pillow!!! So, I love both. I do think they are a little pricey but would still recommend as a little goes a long way and they last a long long time.

Dove Body Wash Mousse with Rose Oil

You guys, I’m going to get really REAL with you. I am soooooo weird about my soap. So I don’t like bar soap because I feel like it’s just a breeding ground for germs & bacteria. I like shower gel, but sometimes I feel like it’s too thick and you end up just wasting the majority of it. Also, I feel like if you’re not using it with a shower puff, it’s pointless, and I don’t like shower puffs because … germs & bacteria. Enter in this Dove mousse I stumbled upon. Hands down, it is perfect! It’s light, moisturizing, smells amazing… and BONUS: I also use this as a shaving cream. That alone makes this the perfect product to me!!

Teami Blends Green Tea Detox Mask

If you’ve been following along with my blog, then you know I love a good mask!  I’ve been using this one for several months, and while it’s not completely empty yet… it is almost there! I do this mask about once every 8 – 10 days, and it still hands down is one of the most moisturizing masks I’ve ever used. Every single time I use it, the very next day I get tons of compliments on how my skin looks like it is glowing. I think the organic ingredients (matcha, lemongrass, and bentonite clay) helps to bring out the natural moisture in your skin. I highly recommend this, and at a price point of $29.99 you get a lot of bang for your buck! Also, if you want to try, use my code MRSPINK for 20% off!

OGX Coconut Curls Conditioner

So I don’t know if I’ve shared this, but I do not wash my hair with shampoo frequently. Because my hair is natural, I find better results if I co-wash several times during the week as opposed to washing it which can be drying. For me, a good conditioner is one that has a lot of slip, is moisturizing, smells good, and is AFFORDABLE because I use a LOT! This conditioner also has a lot of essential oils one being coconut, and we all know how beneficial that is! This meets the mark. I buy this on repeat and go through maybe 1 to 1 ½ bottles per month.

Moroccan Magic Lavender Vanilla Lip Balm

Ok, so I don’t know about you, but one of my biggest pet peeves is DRY, CRACKED, lips!! Like I literally HATE it! For me, this is something I struggle with which is why I am always looking for something to keep my lips moist. Full disclosure, I think the combination of Champagne, the new Arizona climate, and not drinking as much water as I need to on a daily basis definitely is a contributing factor to my lips being dry. I try so hard to drink the daily amount of water I’m supposed to, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen! This lip balm is a major life saver! I keep one in almost every purse so I can make sure I’m not caught without it, and I just reapply as needed. It is nice, smooth, and made with Organic Argan Essential oils. This along with my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask routine every night really helps keep my lips in their best shape! This is available at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target, so next time you’re there I highly recommend grabbing a few!

Well, that’s pretty much a wrap for my May Empties. I absolutely LOVED doing this review because again, I think it’s as real as it gets. If you don’t know if you like a product within 30 – 40 days, then I think it’s safe to say it probably isn’t going to end up being your favorite.  Stay tuned until my next Empties review, and comment below some of your favorite products you would like me to try!

Love you BYEeeee!!
